Buying cruelty free

Cruelty Free Shopping

We would like to empower every one with the knowledge to make compassionate choices when shopping and to make it as easy as possible.

Many of us just assume that the companies which sell us things are acting responsibly, but sadly this ie case. Did you know that down for “luxury” pillows and duvets isn’t in fact a by-product? Did you realise that household products are still tested on animals?

Don’t despair! Use your buying power to support those businesses that are making the effort to sell you products that are free from animals cruelty and testing. This will send a message to those companies who are not so enlightened. With every day names like the Co-operative and Superdrug joining the move for cruelty free on their own brands, as well as gorgeous independent online shops, there are cruelty free options in every budget.

Thanks to the leaping bunny logo, you can easily check that your favourite products are free from cruelty.

What can I do?

If you discover that your favourite shower gel or washing powder is not cruelty-free, contact the company concerned and ask them why not.

Let them know that you won’t be buying from them until their products are cruelty-free.
