The seed for Dean Farm Trust was planted in 2004 when I researched how animals are used in everyday society and how they are subject to abuse, cruelty and neglect. I was inspired by a number of other charities and my aim was to set up a small sanctuary and campaign to help reduce animal suffering.

I believe that every person and animal has the right to lead a life free from pain and suffering. With a brother who has learning disabilities I felt it would be beneficial to also be able to offer some respite / holiday accommodation for people who may find it difficult to access mainstream holiday accommodation where they can experience a tranquil and safe environment.

I did not want funding to be an issue and so I set up a company with a view to it donating funds to the charity. Dean Healthcare was established in 2005 and Dean Farm Trust became registered with the Charities Commission in 2008.

I hope you will help me spread the Dean Farm Trust message of compassionate living.
