07 Aug Hunting Ban – Vote Change
In what could be seen as a cowardly move at the last minute, the Prime Minister postponed the vote on amendments to the Hunting Ban.
The SNP MPs had received many requests, not just from Scottish voters but from English ones too, to vote against any alterations to the hunting ban. The catalyst for David Cameron’s postponement of the vote does seem to be a fear of losing the vote once SNP said they would not support any alterations.
Even better news is that due to the strength of feeling on the matter, the Scottish parliament are looking at tightening up their own legislation on hunting to limit the number of dogs used to flush out a fox. So the Prime Ministers excuse for change, that we would just be in line with the Scotland, shouldn’t hold water for much longer.
