07 Oct Threat of New Zero Grazing Farms – Act Now!
A planning application has been received for 4 new dairy units to be built on a farm in West Sussex and the deadline for objections has been extended until 17th October.
These units at Crouchlands Farm will be zero grazing units. Cows will spend all of their time inside, unable to graze outside as they would naturally. Profit and financial considerations play a major role in this kind of factory farming – not animal welfare.
Although welfare isn’t taken into consideration in planning applications, there are plenty of objections that can be made which could help prvent this suffering for cows.
