29 Jun Week One – Broiler Chickens
Over 975 million Broiler Chickens are killed annually in Britain for their meat, making them one of the most factory farmed animals on the planet.
The majority of them are crammed into large, windowless and filthy sheds with very little space to move or act out natural behaviours.
Hundreds of thousands will die of illnesses, disease and stress due to the poor conditions they are kept in and that’s even before they are rounded up and packed into overcrowded lorries and transported hours to be slaughtered. Please read the information sheet below for more information on Broiler Chicken Factory Farming.
