08 Sep Open Day – what a success
OUR OPEN DAY
What a day it was!
Despite the pouring rain over a thousand of you came to celebrate this event and see our residents. Many of you had travelled hours from all parts if the UK. We even had a visitor from Germany.
It was a day to celebrate freedom for our residents, promote compassionate living and open our sanctuary to all of you who have supported us over the years.
The day in numbers…

Vic’s Vegan Cakes sold out (300+ cakes) in under 2 hours!
Over £2,000 was sold in merchandise
Over £1,670 was donated
Our volunteers were wonderful!
Our volunteers were wonderful and helped manage the continuous crowds that came through our barn doors.
A record number of visitors!
The 5 acre field we turned into a car park for the day was at bursting point.
We never expected so many of you wonderful people to come and see us…
- we sold over £2000 of merchandise, raffle, tea, coffee, sandwiches and soft drinks
- we had donations of £1, 670 – thank you all so much for your generosity
- the queues for food never reduced and Vics 300 cakes sold out in just a couple of hours
I promise next time there will be much,much, much more of everything – our next event will be better advertised and signposted!
